How this site got started? How did it born?
It all started while I was in 1st year in university. As a fresher. Didn't really know how the hell am I supposed to prepare for the classes properly. What notes to read. What material should I study. All I had was some notes given by the university which was very complicated to even read. But suddenly I saw someone having a table of Parasitology and he was preparing for class. I asked him if he could share with me the notes. For my surprise he was very reluctant to share it. I felt so much anger and I made a decision then and there that I will create my own table of notes and I will publish it for everybody in university who needs help on this topic. So thats how ksmuparasitology blog got started! Are you excited? Welcome to the site.
I will be working on other interesting projects that could be out of medical topics too. You might want to follow me on whatever social media I am in like Facebook for more update. :)
About the site
This web site is dedicated in providing information of Parasitology in an interactive and summarized form. The microscopic slide pictures are also shown under each species.
How to navigate within the site?
Classification of the parasites by its Phylum and Class are shown in the right extreme side of the web page. When the required classification is selected, the page will automatically direct you to the list of the parasites of the desired Phylum or Class.
Can I print the contents of this web site?
Yes, of course! :) The print version of the list of the parasites can be directly downloaded into your PC by simply clicking on the download button found in the right side of the page.
(Right now it is a Google Doc version. You might have to align the table for best use - Thank you!)
Does this site provide information about all the parasites taught in the 1st year of KSMU?
Currently at the moment, the list of the parasites is limited.
Which Parasites are missing in this?
Class Cestoda, Phylum Nemathelminthes, Phylum Arthopoda are missing in this site. But I'm working on it, so hopefully they will be up on the site within few weeks. So please stay tuned. :)
